The Client

A manufacture of light commercial vehicle range who won “Fleet Van of the Year 2006”  (Motor Transport Awards)

The Challenge

Having gone into administration and now seeking a private buyer, an urgent due diligence of the business was required to identify business risks and weaknesses plus future performance and profit opportunities. We were required to analyse the business, apply both risk analysis and best practice review and advise potential buyers.

The Solution

Using statistical and operational analysis as well as reviews with all levels of management and operations, the team quickly identified significant ongoing risks to the business. In addition, business improvement and cost saving opportunities were also identified. Together with the client managers, we reviewed the rationale behind the ultimate hypotheses and ensured that buy in to the risks and opportunities was achieved at all levels.

The Results

Days after the review the company was purchased and were able to immediately mitigate all major risks and embark upon a business improvement programme and thus quickly maximise the business performance to achieve a 60% year on year increase in sales.
